It's a hooch-soaked weekend of tastings, seminars, and of course parties, all based at the famous Hotel Monteleone. Even if you're not in the industry, it's something worth seeing.

  • Dirty Linen Night

    08/12/2016

Not to be outdone by White Linen Night, this fest started as a way to bring the same artistic enthusiasm to Royal St galleries, and it has a decidedly looser feel. Which -- of course -- we absolutely love.

Like White Linen Night, Dirty Linen Night features local art, music and plenty of food and beverages. But Dirty Linen Night differs in a couple of major ways:

1 – Dirty Linen Night takes place along Royal Street, Jackson Square and Dutch Alley.

2 – Dirty Linen Night happens exactly one week after White Linen Night.

3 – In true tongue-in-cheek style, Dirty Linen Night shoppers are asked to wear the dirty clothes that they originally wore to White Linen Night. That’s not a requirement, of course, but it is highly encouraged!

Many of the shopowners and galleries serve dirty martinis and dirty rice to those coming in and out of the shops, and some even put dirty laundry baskets outside their doors to add to the whimsical feel of the night. Many artists will even deliver over-sized pieces of art for those who purchase pieces on the spot.
